“I struggle with being short. Sometimes people treat me like a child. I really want to be treated as an adult, but people don’t treat me like that. When I go to a restaurant the waitress always gives me a kid's menu. When that happens, and they get my age wrong I don’t want to correct them, because I’m so shy, so I just let it happen. When I was in fifth grade people thought I was in third grade. At TA people think I’m younger than I actually am. “I focus a lot on staying in shape because I want to be healthy. In 7th grade I was a lot bigger and people sometimes made fun of me for my weight so I wanted to change my lifestyle. When I was 12 my doctor tested for diabetes and that drove me to get healthier so I never have to deal with health problems. It also made me much happier being in better shape along with being more confident in my body. I started to go to the gym a lot and worked out and ate healthier.
